auxillary tank, and transfer tank?
auxillary tank, and transfer tank?
What is the difference in the tanks, in the way they are made? I have been looking for an auxillary tank but all I find are transfer tanks. Thanks for the help. Tony
As I recall,
An auxiliary tank is designed to be plumbed into the regular fuel storage system with all the safety features DOT requires to operate in that capacity.
A transfer tank is designed to haul fuel from point A to Point B usually to fill off road construction/farm type equipment.

check out www.transferflow.com they have auxillary tanks that fill your stock tank when it gets to half a tank. a little pricey but nice and complete. theres another place i cant think of, will post when i find it.
heres a couple more www.attatank.com and www.auxtank.com
dieselfan.
Thanks for the help guys. I guess what I'm asking is "can I buy a transfer tank and make a auxillary tank out of it? What are the differences as far as venting? things of this nature. Thanks, Tony
