Anyone with a 2500/3500 regular cab

I'm considering a 2500 regular cab WITH Cummins of course.. I'm sure they make them as I see them listed on edmunds.com and build your own dodge website. However in checking the inventory at BIG dealers like Dave Smith, I never see them listed.

Does anyone out there have one? Would you recommend it over a Quad cab.

I have wife and skinny daughter, so the front bench seat should be ok. Is there much room behind the seat. I'd probably get a box for the bed since it's an 8 footer.

I figure that it's the least popular style, and dealers would give a good price to get rid of one. they have to take a certain number of everything, popular or not.

What do you all think?

Ive got a 2006 regular cab 2wd with 8' bed, I like regular cabs, but I am in the minority. With an auto with the shifter on the column and the fold up console, it is definitely large enough to ride three up, they even have a shoulder belt for the center passenger. If you look really hard you should be able to get a new one for ~26k, but that would be looking for a few months possibly.

I have a 3500 regular cab and there is PLENTY of room in it. I really enjoy it as you dont see them much. I got the new Mickey Thompson tires on it and it turns heads everywhere I go. I get so many compliments on it its unreal. And depending on how serious you are, mine just so happens to be for sale right now! I am asking $3,000 below blue book value if you are interested.

I have a 04.5 2500 and love it. Have a wife and daughter and have plenty of room when they ride. Lots of room behind the seats also for speakers and tools. Yes there is not much of a market for them, but I like them becasue it is mainly only me in the truck. If you haul lots of people get the quad or mega. If it is mainly you only driving and your wife has her own vehicle can't go wrong with a regular cab.

I've always got good deals on Regular cabs. The 01 I have now sat on a dealers lot for 6 weeks that I knew of.
I'm usually alone in the truck so it has plenty of room.
If I had an extended cab the extra room would just fill up with extra junk I really don't need to haul around.
I like being able to load sheets of plywood and close the tailgate.

Thumbs up Reg.cabs rule.

My neighbor and I have '07 reg.cabs which we obtained from Dave Smith Motors. it's just the wife and myself and works out perfect. I can park it anywhere and there's room enough behind the seat for half of my garage! If I wanted to haul a big hard-sided cabover,a reg.cab 3500 would be the rig to get!

I've got a 07 regular cab 3500 cab and chassis. It's fine for 3 people. I've had 3 big guys in there and it wasn't horrible. There is tons of room behind the seat for a single cab truck. Lots more than the 02 it replaced.

i never take more than 2 other people in my truck so the reg cab does great. I had a extended cab chevy before this truck and all the back seat got used for was junk. If u have a family that needs the room get the larger extended cab for sure. But I like my standard cab alot.

I love mine too. And there is a lot of room behind the seat for stuff. The main thing though is the shorter wheelbase. A full bed but still able to get around in parking lots and off road.

My truck is for me and the adventures I go on. Most of the time I'm alone but my wife and dog go on weekend trips with me and occasionally a third person.

I've had a lot of reg. cab pickups and really like them. If you get a truck big enough to haul everyone, you give up a lot in other ways. If I need to take several people I'll take the car.
