I'm grew up about an hour north of Savannah. If you're heading through Kansas City on your way back, I'll make sure I have a few cool ones & a hot meal for ya!! Also, don't miss the fingers & spuds at Spanky's on River Street!! God, I'm slobbering all over myself just thinking of them!!!!! Try Mrs. Wilkes Boarding House if you get the chance, or Paula Deen's Lady & Sons, or the onion rings at Carey Hilliard's, or a Chik-Fil-A, or Love's Seafood... Dang, why did I ever move???

Too late now. Gotta be at work around 0430...

Worked there everyday. You need to go eat at a bed and breakfast. Can't remember the name of the place. You go in and sit down to eat at a big table with everybody you don't know. Just like at your grandma's house except you could be sitting by someone you have no clue about. If you want shellfood go to the Shell House off of I-95 and Hwy 204 right by the Harley Davidson Shop. Great Crab legs and fresh boiled shrimp. Cain't beat it as far as quality. Be ready to wait if you get their at 8:00PM.

Yeah, that's Mrs Wilks Boarding house. It was shut down when she passed away. Sad. That is possibly one of the best resturants that I have ever ate at. (that was not a BBQ joint...)

Mrs. Wilkes is closed?? Dang, that was an awesome place to eat! Food was very good & it was a fun place to meet folks from all over the world. I've sat next to folks from England, Sweden & yankees.

Info from the wife. She told me this 6+ months ago? I think that she called to find out the hours, and they said it was shut down.

LMK if it is still open. I'll go back...

I need to go down to Savannah again, it's a good place to party and to relax. It's just that I-16 makes me want to kill myself, or see how fast the cummins goes when I drive it. I live in Gwinnett county bout 40 mins. NE of Atlanta. time for another visit to the ocean.

Yep. Eat till you puke. On some stranger that you just met. I almost got into trouble there, some hot chick was sitting across the table from me, and kept making eyes at me... Wife was with me.. I kept my eyes on the plate. (even if she was not there, I would have done the same thing... Could someone please pass the beans? I'm out of tea...
