Cool '93 6.2 mods

I have a friend driving a '93 chevy 6.2. Besides intake and exhaust mods is there anything I can do to the fuel pump or something. He says it drives like a guttless.

Governor spring if its non-electronic. Also there is a fuel pressure screw somewhere on the Stanadyne pump that you can adjust, I just have never done it. Not much you can do with 140 Hp..

I think my '82 said something like 140hp on the sticker that wrapped around the air cleaner.

One of the easiest mods is to simply help them breathe.
Larger exhaust, better flow and look around for a better intake setup.
If the injection is electric, I understand theres not a lot that can be done.
If its mechanical, I understand theres not a lot that can be done... ... but there is a fuel adjust screw and the gov springs (as already mentioned).
Also, I did notice better mileage (and it ran a little smoother ) when I moved up the timing.
Again, I dont know if the electrically controlled injection pumps can be manipulated.

Rich.

if it's a 93 there is a 90% chance it's a 6.5.if so it should have a turbo, the 93's you can add a heath wastegate controller to get more boost.but anyway you can turn the pump up.you have to remove the top cover of the pump, once off there is a little hole below the rack, you have to turn the engine over by hand til an allen headed bolt apears ,i believe it gets turned counterclockwise, and not much,an 1/8th of a turn might be too much. i believe when i put the turbo on mine i gave it like a 1/16th of a turn.but heres the tricky part, the top must be put back on correctly or when you start it it will run wide open and you have to pinch the return line shut to kill the engine.
