im not familiar with the 8.3's but that looks small...valve cover and overall size doesnt seem to add up to a 8.3. again, i know nothing about these engines...

Nah, it looks like a 8.3 to me. Check the Tstat and air intake, that'sin the 8.3 line.

I would almost kill for a 8.3 and 10OD

I seen a Allison v-1250 in a Ford stationwagon once. Why not an N-14 in a pickup

I am that fool. That project will have to wait until later (years down the road) when I get time and another truck to fool around with.

It is an 8.3, and it was done some 5 or 6 years ago by a TDR member. He did a large write up on it, and answered questions on that site.

If anyone really wants, and it is allowed within the rules of this site, I will post a link if I can find it.

The guys siggy reads:
"95 Ford F-350 4x4 Ext Cab, Cummins 6CTAA 8.3, Fuller 9 Speed, 14 inch twin disk clutch, Rack and Pinion Steering, 4 wheel - 4 piston Wilwood Caliper Disc Brakes, 6 inch exhaust system, Jacobs exhaust "

If I remember correctly , the Monster Garage trike engine was a Big Cam III . or a four with a low flow.

When I found the thread the other night, the pics had been taken down because it was so old, they just didn't survive the test of time.

I do rememebr that there weren't any problems with the inside of the truck being tight. Can't remember much about it though it was so long ago.
