4B Into a Chevy C1500?
Well, that's one of the issues:
Your truck:
1 1/4" shaft
10 spline
Mine:
1 1/8" shaft
10 spline
Power's nice, but starting out, I'll definitely keep it at stock output levels until I want to upgrade it some. I do pull some small stuff around back home (at witnessed by the picture), but the 105hp and 290lb-ft are plenty for me.
My current axle is equipped with the G80 and has high-gearing...

there's a guy working at our shop that is driving a 93 chevy K1500 that his uncle put a 4b in from a frito lay truck. just drove it back from colorado to california and got 30mpg and said that it would easily pull more weight than the suspension would handle. it sits pretty far back in the engine bay but it looks right at home in there!, i'll try to get some pics of it and his uncle may be willing to talk to you about it, i could give him your email or number if you wanted me to.
A buddy of mine put one in out of a frito truck in his mid 80's half ton short bed. It was a pretty easy swap, he used the mounts out of the frito truck. I don't know whether he bolted or welded them to the frame. The frito truck had a manual and he used the three speed that was in the truck and hooked it to the motor. He averages between 21 to 25 mpg. The pump is turned up all the way and it does have a hx35 on it which is to big. I think he also shortened the air pipe over the motor to get better clearance of the hood.
