He's also wearing his Kevlar.

Helmet, vest, and pocket protector.

Still, I'd rather be standing on the other side of the tractor, winch remote in hand.

Did I hear that right?
Moving the tank under its own power costs $500 per mile.

Suddenly my CTD seems VERY fuel efficient.

No you didn't hear that right. He said that the cost of transporting by truck is 1/10th the cost of driving the tank. Then he said it was a $500 per mile savings. So it must cost $5000 per mile Holy schmoly

he is ok behind that screen. The hook isnt the week link, its the cable. As a rigger, i know that the hook is the strongest link on that system. The cable is most likley to snap JUST after the hook Although the Cable will act like a whip, and can take your head off, it doesn`t take much to stop it.

That being said, i would rather NOt be in that position. He had 2 cables, so i guess he is in that spot so he can STEER the tank on the flatbed using the 2 cables

thats insane... im guessing if the 500 dollar a mile, obviously isnt the fuel price,

the maintenance on a tank must be INSANE.... know where my tax money is going now to transporting tanks to the front line !

Secret Decoder Ring............

Did you Cut & Paste the address?
Which viewer are you trying to use?
You might need to see if there's an upgraded version.

The trailer tires must be solid?
With four wheel turning radius of the tractor, I would think the centipede design of the trailer would cause the trailer tires to be ripped off if they were traditional inflated rubber tires.

CTD NUT, you will need Windows Media Player to view the clip. You may also want to get all the current codecs.

Rich.
