I'm thinking about making a piece of wood that curves to the contour of the dash just over the steering wheel, and making it really nice... I think that would look neat. Maybe burn a Cummins 'C' in it or something...
that would be a nice touch - you may be onto something. if you follow thru please post pics!

fuel pressure - pyrometer - boost pressure - tranny temp. all of which will be danin inc. pricol (dipricol) optix gauges

i much prefer the full sweep gauges and would like to keep my a-pillar clear for a control module monitor. thanx for the input though

that looks very nice - does it interfere with the door panel/power mirror control?

i have hummed and hawed a lot over that idea - i'll just do it once and spend some extra time and keep them all together

Right now, monitor fuel pressure, boost, trans temp and EGT.
i have thought about going this method also - but i would like to have a baseline to see where i'm at before playing with timing/fuel boxes. i also want to have a backup should the monitor start acting funny one day. plus, the day i get a box is a long way away - i would like to take care of most other aspects prior to playing with the electronics. . .

No it does not bother anything
The gauge bucket can be adjusted (slide) in or out depending on how deep you need it I think it cost around $27 from diesel manor
