325 HP PSD in '05

Looks like Ford is trying to keep up with the Jones'es. Of course, you have to wonder what the HP will be after all the required reflashes.

I know, I'm bein' baaaad.

I think all he 6.0s are rated at 325hp from 2003 and up. But thats before all the flashes and reflashes to try and make it run right.

Best-in-Class Gas Torque - 455 lb. - ft. - We ain't play with gasser
Unsurpassed Diesel Horsepower - 325 - Most of you got more than this!
Increased Diesel Torque - 570 lb. - ft. - Most of you got more than this!

I still wonder what they use to qualify the class in Best-in-Class. Is it the 1 ton classification or the engine classification? Either way, I think they have it all backwards...comparing apples and oranges...PSD is a LIGHT duty engine and the CTD is a MEDIUM duty. They can say what they want about their class, but they're still hiding the truth from the public by not revealing their's and the competition's engine classifications.

The Viper Ram is 500 hp, 500 torque - - I think that beats 355 and 455.

In a half ton truck that is though...not gonna be doing much heavy towing or hauling with that. My camper would flatten an SRT-10. I thing furd is talking about their 250's & 350's when they mention the hp & torque. Who really cares though, why would anyone buy a furd over a Dodge CTD if they plan on anything other than driving around town empty? unless they were conned by the sales dept.
