2005 CTD 9.25mpg. Whats wrong
There only two things that make a good running, not worn diesel engine smoke. To much fuel or not enough air.
I would spend some time on the air issue looking at the entire system, clamps, tubing, wastegate, turbo etc.

Well, got a new issue to deal with. The dealership said they suspect him of using a chip because of the memory loss. So they called up dodge, and dodge told them they were not paying for anything or doing any work and the vehicle is basically black flagged now on their database and no warranty anymore. All he can do I guess is keep trying to reach someone and act as if he doesn't know what they are talking about. Other than that, the vehicle is all stock with 36,000 miles on it. Anyone have any idea what to do? Thanks guys.
I don't know much about that year truck or the electronics, but would it work to swap the ecu with somebody elses who never used a programer? Just a thought. Then take it ot dodge and just act dumb.
Did they tell you how or what can cause the memory to be erased? If it was caused by the BD programmer then call BD to see if they can help. But it does sound like the BD left a foot print and they found it and why they say the warranty is void. BTW by adding the Bullydog programmer the truck is no longer considered stock.
