Nope, no modules, they are all mechanical, you get fuel plates (most of us have ground our own from the stock one), delivery valves, timing advance, governer springs (shimable with ordinary washers) injectors...

What kind of fuel mileage do you get empty? Do you tow anything?

Towing my 6x12 enclosed I get about 15 at most with no wind or hills, so the Cummins will be much better. I love the sound of a diesel also and of the turbo. I can't wait.

I forgot to say that close to half of my towing is in town. I got 17 the one time I towed it all highway, with some hills.

Mine is 6x12, all steel, 6'-6" tall.

I may have to go with a 1997. Hopefully I can find a 98 12V.

Is the 98 12V a 4 door? I would like a 4 door but I will go with just the extended cab if I have to.

Yes 98 12v is a 4 door. I'll also suggest the 12v for you. I may be a little biased but the 97 is also a good year. Actually, I'd buy anything from 96-98. Like the bigger pumps. Nothing wrong with the older truck either tho.

What is water/meth injection and what does it do? I know this may be a dumb question but I see A LOT of people with it or talking about it.

Water/meth is a mixture of water and methanal sprayed into the intake horn of the engine, It reduces egt's by 150-200 degrees sometimes more and depending on the mixture adds a few ponys.

Water/meth lowers EGTs, it cools things down, and although it does not add power itself, it allows you to inject more fuel, thus increasing the power. I would like it eventually on my truck, to drop EGTs when towing. I want a moderatley powerful 12v, that can tow anything I can hook to.

That's why people VP pump 12vs right

They are great trucks as well though, especially with an aftermarket lift pump
