You have heard correctly. This aint the 20's, they are drilling horizontially, and in miles of water. Not the shallow easy wells that they were drilling before.

with the prices here at 3.41, i too bought a cheap $500 bike, it was a '80 yamaha xs 400. didn't run the best, but then i finally got it runnin great and $10 fillups were on there way to saving me big change, then the clutch cable broke and i don't have time to fix it makes me so mad. but i do agree, my truck is worth the $3.41, i love my truck!

As the temps start to fall, the price difference will probably grow as diesel fuel is essentially the same thing as Home Heating Oil.
It is not Bush.........................it's all of them!!!!!!!!!!

Funny how it was blamed on heating oil last winter and yet I don't remember it falling back down during these hotter summer weeks this year. It ain't dropped since last winter!!!! Heating oil. Sorry, Shovel, not aimed at you....just had it with the heating oil.......and no cap on this out of hand upward spiral!

Can you say "CHINA". Diesel fuel/gas is a commodity that sold daily like stock. China is having a industrial boom like america years ago. They are buying diesel for the plants as fast as it can be made. Of course diesel is easier to make then gas. It is still higher in many places because of demand. The global economy is slowly erradicating the middle class and our nation. I tell you we need to boycott walmart and refuse to buy things made by people who make 2.00/hr with no benefits. We cannot compete as a nation and keep our lifestyle. We are shooting ourselves in the foot. If we worked at it hard for awhile then chinas demand for diesel would level off and prices would come down. Not to mention reopening GM and Ford factories. We better wake up before its to late. I work for INTEL. we are laying off 10,000 just this year. GM 40,000, ford 35000. Wake up america before its to late. Do you know how OVERPRICED homes are. Mark my words. We are going to have a national epidemic of bankruptsies in the next 5-7 years.Sorry I got off on a deep concern.

People can not keep from living way above their means. Bankruptsies everywhere. I agree. If you can't afford it, don't buy it! And if you do buy it, don't file bankrupsy and screw everyone that you owe because of you incompetence and poor money management skills.

SSweeney, I agree 100% but it will turn around eventually when wages become so low in America that other countries start outsourcing their labor here.
