I know a lot of people don't like the idea of a Thermal Cracking unit in their Neighbors back yard. But I remember a year ago or so, there was a discussion about recycling used motor oil, and thermal cracking it and cooling it into Diesel. I was trying to find the previous posts, but am coming up with nothing. I really want to make a safe version of a thermal cracking unit, it may or may not be doable, whats all your thoughts? Give up and go make Bio-diesel?

There is some good progress being made on that subject....
I was the guy that started that thread a couple of years ago just to stay that it was possible... I signed a non discloser agreement with the guy that I bought plans from so I could reveal any detail that people here wanted to see>>> It got pretty ugly and then got locked down... Since then I have completely redesigned the plant and it no longer looks or operates the way the original plans did so I am sharing it with everyone...
It is a viable alternative fuel that uses a raw product that is easy to obtain for free or in some cases get paid for it... The processor is about the same difficulty level as building a biodiesel processor and cost a pretty similar... it is about the same size also.....
We are still working out the details to make the processor run continuously without supervision but we all agree on the process and many people have batch plants running all over the world that proves that it works well...
