It will save you $25-$30 over the course of the holiday. I'd rather be sure the bridge I'm going over isn't going to do an impersonation of that one in Minneapolis.
Seems like a typical political 'bright idea'. Sounds great, doesn't add up to a hill of beans.
FYI - It's not just McCain looking at this. Clinton is too.

As much as I think taxes are a bad idea.. pulling this one is a real bad idea especially without a corresponding cut in federal spending. The reason were -in- the economic problem we are in is due to the govt overspending without taking in extra revenue and then printing money to cover the bill. theyre probably deliberately inflating the dollar in an attempt to make our debts worth less and to export the cost of the war.
A better solution would be to take these taxes and those 600$ bribe checks and put them into domestic emergency exploration and refinery building. Then start investing in algae biodiesel. Lose ethanol. its a total bust on all fronts.
What a mess...
The only guy thats got a sensible plan is still in the race. his delegates kicked some butt in the nevada convention the other day, btw.
