Thumbs up my 2 cents

I've a friend with a Mercedes-Benz 300D turbodiesel who uses straight WMO containing about 80% synthetic oil, mostly Mobil 1 as fuel. The car runs fine on it, and has been doing so for about 3 years now. I've heard all the cautionary tales that supposedly synthetic oils wont burn as well when used as a fuel, but have not noticed this to be the case in actual practice. I regularly add a few gallons of centrifuge-filtered, synthetic WMO to the fuel tank of my 2007 CR 5.9 with no ill effects. Been doing it since June of last year. Truck runs just fine.

The only think that I have notice burning synthetic over dino is depending on how much synthetic is in the mix I will have a slight greater haze at idle. Each vehicle is a little different. Try it and see what your vehicle likes.

Ive slowly started to run a tad bit of used AmsOil ATF and a bit of AmsOil 15w-40 through my tank. Not much by any means, just about a quart each. So far no problems. The truck doesnt idle as quiet though. When I add just 2-stroke it quiets the idle down, but the synthetics havent...but then again its been pretty cold and havent had a chance for the motor to get nice and hot to where it quiets down.

On my next oil change Im gonna save all of my WMO, which is AmsOil 15-40, and see how it handles 6 quarts at a time....

If my 2007 CR engine can handle 8 to 12 quarts at a time with no problems, I am sure that your truck wont have any issues either.

I added just two quarts of waste synthetic oil to a full tank, it smoked like he!!.
Couldn't wait for that tank to run out.
I've come to the conclusion that full synthetic oil doesn't burn and will never use it again.

weird, it doesn't do that at all in my truck. The exhaust smells different, but doesnt look different. No more smoke than usual.

Were you burning real synthetic or the Supreme Court allowed to say it's synthetic even though it's really dino oil?

Smoke like he!!? At idle? Or just when you get on it?

The most Dino-WMO Ive run was about 4gal of Dino-WMO in about 15gal of diesel and it wouldnt haze at idle but it would leave behind thick, stinky, long trail of smoke.

Other than that it ran great!

I just changed my oil this passed weekend and Im debating on waiting till I fill up my tank with diesel again to add the WMO or should I just pour it all in, lets say today, while only having half a tank....hmmm...we'll see.

Which oils would that be?

I have an old BMW diesel. I run about 4 gallons of synthetic to a 16 gallon tank of fuel. It stinks and is only slightly more smokey then usual. No problems here. I don't even filter it. I just let it settle for a few months and draw off the top. The fuel filter is good enough for me. I change it about every 12000 miles. Never tried it in my 12 valve though.

LMFAO! oh man, that was funny!

to answer your question, i'm not 100% sure. But here is a list of the WMO's i've used with great success:

Mobil 1 5w30 out of my brother's Corvette
Amsoil from assorted friends cars
Rotella T synthetic from my own truck
Rotella T dino from my own truck

hope that helps

Amsoil is the only one on your list that is a true synthetic.
In fact I think it was Mobil who took the case all the way to the Supreme Court.

Amsoil is also the one that made my truck smoke badly.

what seems to be a theory is sythentic oil is more stable at higher temps than dino therefore by theory it might be harder to burn and even start up. you would probably need a strong mixture of syn to notice though. i have run up to 100% waste oil and atf in summer with good luck. but i found it starts better with putting at a few gals of diesel into the mix. in the winter i like to keep around 50/50% or less oil.

I've been running WMO for over 4 years & have had good luck witn dino but synth tends to turn to a goo that plugs the truck filter, still has me stumped as I prefilter every drop of WMO before it goes into the truck thru a 2 micron water seperator which doesn't plug up go figure.
