WMO = Free fuel

So after reading lots of posts about "Black Diesel" (waste motor oil) I decided to give it a test today. I filtered out 4+ gallons, dumped it in my tank and added about 20 gallons of diesel. Didn't skip a beat. Drove it 60 miles - no changes in anything. I'm going to up the mix until I get to about 50/50 - not sure if I will try more. Either way - WOO HOO, FREE FUEL!! (Hope I don't get "dipped")

I got a few gallons that I'm going to do just that with. I heard somewhere there is a 5% rule that cummins has about adding used motoroil to the fuel tank? Anyone? I mixed 50/50 wvo and diesel last summer in my rabbit and it worked fine.

Yes, I've heard that before about the 5% thing. I've talked to a few that have run around 40-50%. I've also run an 80/20 peanut oil/gasoline mix. I haven't really even noticed more smoke or anything, but we'll see whenever I up the mix.

i have been thinking about trying E-85 /wvo mix. Maybe that will help with left over water in the oil. Not that it has been a problem just for peace of mind.

Ouchman... did you build a blender?
Have you seen the oilcat blender?
Google it and see what you think. I would be a lot more compact than the one that I built.

Oilguy - No blender yet. Just dumped it in before filling up. Oil blender will happen in about 5 months when I move. Seems to be okay though.
