They did this @ dodgetalk for gassers 34 gallons tanks and diesels weren't allowed.....

Post your picture of your best DTE on your overhead. This will give a better idea of what kind of fuel economy most of us are getting in our trucks...

Be sure to post your mods if they're not in your sig..SRW, DRW, gears, tires size auto/manual, Tone ring, etc...THEY ALL MATTER!! OH YEAH...You GOTTA tell us if you did the tank vent mod!!!

if you have anysort of box on the truck it is wrong. mine says 20-24 mpg when i am getting 17.

Hint:
Reset You MPG guesser while coasting downhill.
I've seen 65 MPG on the display.

 

65.... I guess we have bigger hills, I've seen 99 on the mpguess

 

The best DTE I have seen to date is 657.

 

I don't trust it so I never use it.
Filled up today with 22 gallons and had about 500 miles on the trip meter.

Mine has never read over 500DTE. It usually reads 460-480 range. And that's even after the fuel tank vent mod!!!!????? My average mileage read out is always 1-2mpg low also!!!

 

545 dte cruise @ 69 for 800 miles with Aux feeding main tank.

 

545 light driving mainly highway.... 31 gallons

350 foot to floor driving making smoke.... 30 gallons

425 light driving dragging 8k highway..... 29 gallons

 

My DTE maxes out at 620. While running moderate speeds in flat lands, after a fill-up, it will sit at 620 and not drop for 50 or 60 miles.

At one point last week, my trip mileage + DTE was 726 miles!

 

655 miles on 28.5 gallons in my 92 (truck cap on). this was one fill up on a tenn to ny trip.

 

Filled today and mine read 587 DTE.

 

the best mileage i seen with only number 2 is 585 miles on a 26gallon tank

with lp it is another 3mpg better than that
