must've been on a trailer for about 100 miles of that..

Boy, I need to get a dozer blade to move the pile...

 

I just fueled up today after some 200+ miles of 60-65mph driving. Cumputer said 20.2 and it calculated to 18.4 so I reset everything and tried to reset the DTE. It said 529 like it allways does, so I held the reset and it climbed to 579 then went back to 509. This was without starting the truck. What's up with that anyway?

 

I filled up last night and read 499 and tonight it still reads 499 and i put about 45 miles on the tank so far.

 

Anyone ever have their DTE show a negative number?



A few years back with my 01 Ram towing the 5th wheel I was in the middle of nowhere. Big tank emptied too fast due to strong crosswinds. I was also in the mountains.
Low fuel light comes on with its pucker factor chime.
I had another 70 plus miles to go and the DTE was at 5 miles.

I pulled into the fuel station from an idle down the last hill and it was just starting to sputter as I got to the pumps. DTE said -54.
I think I was running on the fuel in the filter canister the last few blocks.


When I started up I had to prime before it would idle. Talk about a close call.
I was laughing and thinking about tossing out items in the truck and even unhooking the 5er.
