Oil down 20% and diesel only down 10% - grrrrrrrrr!
Just venting.
For the past couple weeks I have watched, as have you I'm sure barrels of oil drop from $78 to now $62. A drop of around 20%.
But diesel in Colorado was around 3.20 a few weeks ago and is now just barely in the 2.90 - 2.95 range give or take.
They are screwing the truckers and us CTD owners and it smells!!
By my calculations, to match the 20% decline in the oil, diesel would need to come down to $2.56 or so. Not even close.
I realize there are other costs to the price of fuel besides the raw oil, but they sure can raise it in a hurry when the price of the raw oil is going up. I'd like to
a few of them.
Man, it just ticks me off!

CORed
p.s. I think I feel better now.

I agree. When it was up(gas) diesel was about the price of mid grade gas, now premium is 2.59 and diesel last night was 2.79 at the bp, 2.69 at the phillips and 2.59 back in columbia at 1 gas station, which means it is now higher than premium.....I like to think the oil companies are now gonna blame it on the extra effort in refining the new ulsd fuel. Plus diesel fuel up makes everything else go up because of trucking. I know, supply and demand will be brought up as an issue.....it's just hard to believe
I agree. Gas around here is $2.39 from $2.89. Diesel was $2.99 and is down to $2.89. I don't understand it. Before Katrina Diesel was always cheaper then regular gas. Just the man stickin it to us again.
