down pipe only???????

guys im slowly putting on my diamond eye 4" exhaust on. right now all i have on is the down pipe.....is this safe at all can i drive the truck

It'll be LOUD, but won't hurt anything unless you have a hole in the floorboard for the smoke to get in. But some of us cut holes cause we LIKE the smoke. ;D<br><br>Chris

Don't know how far down the downpipe extends, but my guess is that it is not safe that way due to extra hot gasses hitting things that are not supposed to get that hot. Also there is a good chance that the exhaust fumes will blanket the entire engine and therefore seep up the cowl and you end up with CO2 in the cab. My thinking is that unless the exhaust extends back past the firewall, don't drive it.

Powerstrokin03,<br><br>You won't have any damage except to maybe your ears and your relationship with your neighbors. I do have a question though, why don't you just finish the install, we do installs on Dodges and with our system the complete deal is only about 45 minutes, maybe an hour if you take a bathroom break at the longest. <br><br>Is something not fitting correctly or what?<br><br>Mark @ DPPI
