Still $4.20 at my preferred station, but seeing it creep up again at others.

 

Found diesel for $4.05 in the unincorporated nontaxed back areas. One is not that far off my normal beaten path.

 

It's been hovering around $3.49 in Conroe for a week...This morning on the way to the gun show I saw one station at $3.39...It's going in the right direction, just not fast enough......Ben

 

Hilltop Tesoro close to home out in the sticks dropped to $3.90. Diesel ranges $3.90 to $4.40. Gas has jumped up 25 cents.

 

I noticed the same phenomenon this past weekend while visiting two gun shows in central Texas...Diesel ranged from $3.35 to $4.89 (a huge spread)...But a couple of Valeros in Bastrop showed diesel at $3.36 and regular unleaded at $3.42...It's the first time I've seen diesel cheaper than gas in decades...Meanwhile here at home diesel is $3.38 for a low......Ben

 

Gas went up again. The mid-grade I have to feed the wife's Hemi is now $4.05.

 

Diesel has dropped to $3.19 here...I won't need any for maybe another couple of months though......Ben

 

Generally things are much cheaper where I live than north of the border. Fuel is not one of the cheaper items. Right now diesel is about US$4.68 a gallon. Just spent $111 to fill up and the gauge showed just over a 1/4 tank. Need to fill up every 2 - 3 weeks.
In spite of that, have no desire to live anywhere else.

 

Finally!...Diesel is now under $3 a gallon locally, not everywhere yet but trending...When it gets under $2 again I may start going to a few more out of town gun shows......Ben

 

Been a while since I've been in town. Prices dropped on everything. Nothing over $4 a gallon. Diesel is down to $3.75.

 

Holding steady at $2.95 - $2.99 here...Regular unleaded is higher......Ben

 

Diesel seems to have plateaued here, with a core group of high volume sellers (about 7 at last count) staying on $2.99 for a couple of weeks...In the past this has been followed by an increase...In looking around town, I notice other retailers pricing diesel at $3.46 to $4.79 (that one was not busy at all)...So, anticipating a price hike I took the plunge and bought 82 gallons at $2.99 even though I still had 18 gallons in the main tank, using a Visa card which pays me 4% on all fuel purchases...That should carry me in to August if I continue to combine errands as I have been...In the meantime, if I see any priced under $2.99, I can always top off......Ben

 

Diesel down a nickel, gas up a dime.

 

Diesel jumped 15 cents overnight to $3.85. Gas is up too.

 

Lowest here is still $2.99 but most of the locals went to $3.09......Ben
