Talk is cheap, so can anyone prove that the oil companies are not drilling on land, sea, ocean or where ever that they have under lease and it contains commercial amounts of oil and yet they will not drill to get it? I keep hearing the same thing they have land to drill on but don't. May be they don't drill on the land they have leased because that may not contain enough oil to make it profitable at this time. If someone can prove they are not drill for oil just so they can drill of the coast or in Alaska then prove it! If no one can then they need to keep there mouth closed until its proven they know about large amounts of oil deposits and yet refuse to drill for it.

I don't like oil companies just like everyone here but I get sick of hearing well they have land leased but don't drill for oil on it. Like I said above they may have good reason to not drill for oil on the land they have leased. if you can prove they are not drilling and know about big oil deposits then speak up, no shout it out for all to Hear Once and For ALL!

Talk is cheap...

Yes it is. The problem with this whole issue is that it becomes a political partisan issue. We don't want to get into that here, as it's against forum rules.

What we know is that we're all paying a LOT more at the pump. Oil companies are making insane amounts of money speculating in the market. You and I won't see relief any time soon.

Here are some links that show what I'm talking about. One thing that's not talked about here is that even if all coastal waters were to be opened up today for drilling, there are not enough drilling rigs and ships to do all the work. The drilling rigs are "several holes behind". There's also the issue of drilling the occasional dry hole due to bad mapping and exploration risks.

I know the above link is to a Democratic Congressman, but he's in support of drilling.

Hope that answers any questions you have.

I'll refrain from posting anything more here other than fuel prices from this point on.

Yeah problem is I'm seeing things on both sides that are incorrect being posted here. If you really want to debate this start up another thread.

A little talk/debate here and there is cool but I'm having a hard time digging through to see what fuel prices are where. It would suck if this thread was locked and died after 88 pages.

I've ran into a couple of folks who know people with stations and they have said they have had significant drops in sales.

Big Bro keeps saying once the demand drops some, so will prices. I bet if these stations are typical, theres a big drop in demand here.

Guess that's why some of the F$%g^n politicians are now spouting it's the world wide demand.

It'll never matter as we are at war, almost another cold war, with the old ChiCom comunity and the folks in the middle east just plain out hate us...all of them!

Done with my little rant! Sorry

'Nuther $163.00 to fill up yesterday.
Been about the same for the last few tanks.

I'm sure looking forward to when the American Oil Embargo comes to a screeching halt! I think the barrel price of crude will drop 25% when the world realizes the U.S.A. is serious & actionable about switching to our own oil reserves.
