I do feel sorry for you but so far we have been smart enough to not let our selves be taxed to death like you and the rest of the people in the UK or the EU.

 

whats really bad is we have nothing for transit where i live, so the only way to get around is to drive, i'm glad i work like 500 feet from my house i just walk there and get in the work van.

 

Update, gas went up to $4.79, diesel $5.19 today

 

I have a second job as an assistant/apprentice house painter.

I used my truck to bring to the project some 16' 2x6 from Home Depot.

I was given a $20 for my trouble.

As I headed home I was looking for the correct place to get fuel.

$4.689 got me a wee bit over 4 gallons.

 

Well gas here is 3.85 but i did fill up for 4.54 diesel!!!!!!!!!!!!! Drove way out the way to get it too.

Over the border 125Miles away its $2.02 a Gallon right now, just dont know if its beneficial to drive that far to get my transfer tank 110Gals. and replacement tank 60Gals. to do it?

Plus crossing the CA border is getting harder from what I hear. So far I am lucky as they don't really ask any questions going into NM where I go or even TX. I have a few friends that have 130gal saddle tanks that drive right on through without questions. Mine is only 75 gallons, so even less looky loos from customs!!

 

4.79 here I filled up in Joplin MO at Flying J for 4.49 on Saterday

Prices for BOTH stations here in Walnut Springs (TX).
If I find that I can save 10-15 cents per gallon I will usually fill up my aux tank too.
