Back on topic.. Cheapest now is $4.55!! Wow, $5/gallon is becoming a reality, especially since regular stations have diesel in the $4.79 range. Dang, it went up 24 cents in exactly one week! What the heck, there is no mercy. Dang, $3.50 was sooo cheap just 3.5 months ago. I wish it went back to that price.

Same here. Pulled into a mobil the other night to fill up and they had it listed for 4.759. Stopped by a Hess on the way home and filled up for 4.539

NY SUCKS! Bring on the summer gas tax break!

Well, I'm afraid that is it for me. I'm going to be parking the truck for a long time until either prices stabilize or I get used to them. I already switched to a Honda for a daily driver and drove the truck for fun sometimes but I don't think I'm even going to do that now. I'm so fed up with fuel prices. I wish I could break free with a hybrid or something. Yup, that's what the environmentalists want but I'm afraid they win at this point. $175 fillups just ain't gonna cut it with my budget.

Oh and drilling in ANWAR is one of the stupidest things we could do.It will take 2 barrels of oil energy to remove 1 barrel and there is only 6 months worth of oil up there.
We need to spend money on solar power and geothermal and wind. If president Carters plan would not have been scrapped by Regan we would have been getting at least 20% of our power from renewables by 2000 and we would not be in this mess.

Check this story for solar power in California desert

Some interesting videos here, check them out, there are 8 of them all together. Notice the date they was made. It will take roughly a hour to watch all eight, each one is around nine to ten minutes long.

chevron went up from 4.39 last thursday to 4.71 on friday. i think it can be found for 4.30-.40 still. my truck just sits. oh well, everyone is in the same boat. It has been at the point for quite a while that unless Im making money from my truck, it doesn't start. Next weekend I get to go up in the mountains and cut wood , at this rate my truck will last literally till I die. Im only 27. pretty friggin sorry.

It went from $4.19 on Tues to $4.49 on Sat..

People talk about this tax break during the summer, but by the time they bring it out diesel might be around $5.00 and losing 24cents due to the tax break still seems pointless to me..

A really, really good price in Kali is $4.49 - (5-12-08)
That is the absolute lowest price around.
Most in the 4.59 to 4.69 (or more) range.

Anybody close to the MX border going across for fuel?
So. CA, AZ, TX ??

Poster on another forum (with an HDT) went across a Pharr
in TX - paid about $2.00 a gallon.
Of course, he has great tank capacity.

Diesel went up 20 cents over the weekend, now it's $4.79! Gas is $4.07, It costs me $70 to fill up my S-10! I used to use gasoline for parts cleaner cause it was cheap, not anymore it costs more than brakeclean!

Getting very close to $5.00 here in suburban Philadelphia - I think we'll see it within a couple weeks, or sooner.

Perhaps speculators are only allowed to drive up the cost of American fuel.

I wonder what th excuse of the week will be next week and the week after that.

In the 50's gas was around 20 cents/gallon and it took about 40-50 years to hit $1.00/gallon. It's taken less than 8 years to go from $1.10 to $4.00/gallon.

Now if my salary/income went up that same percentage, I wouldn't be complaining - most folks wouldn't.

I hope somebody finds an answer.
