Last I knew it took more crude to make gas than diesel, so it would only make sense for diesel to be lower than gas. I agree with Phox, it should be 40-50 cents less than regular gas but I would be happy if it was the same as regluar gas.

So, this pretty much flies in the face of all the historical "rules" we have about fuel pricing, huh?

Supposed to spike up with the demand for heating oil.........

We are at $2.33 here, probably the lowest in about 15 months now.

Gas is back down to about $2.19

I hope oil drops out to $40.00 a barrel.

$2.55 In the middle of Texas. Have seen it a nickle cheaper in a few towns within 50 miles.

Well supposedly the demand for heating oil has been low due to a warmer winter (until the last few weeks) and supposedly our oil level reading were incorrectly predicted and the amounts have been adjusted up. we therefore have a glut and the oil prices have been plummeting in recent weeks.
Now what kills me is that we are several $$ a barrel below what it was when gas was below $2.00 yet the prices are still up from that time.
Smells like somebody is trying to sneek a little extra profit from us!!

Angry

2.79 around here, and hasn't moved in two months. meanwhile gas has droped down to 1.95,thats a 84 cent spread between reg. gas and diesel, there is something wrong with this picture. I asked a friend that manages a station, what's going on,she said she can't get a straight answer from her supplier. Another thing I have noticed,is you very seldom here anything about diesel prices from the media.
