How about diesel for $2.119 per gallon?
How about diesel for $2.119 per gallon?
Last Saturday morning I was out before 8:00AM and passed the local station just two blocks from my house here in Denison, Texas, when I did a double take at the price posted for diesel. It said $2.119 and I turned around to go back to check the other side of the sign. I figured the 3 had fallen and become a 2 by mistake. They were $3.259 the day before. When I got to where I could see the other side of the sign, to my surprise it said the same thing. I pulled to the pump and it also said $2.119. I began filling my truck because it had already told me it needed fuel. When I topped it off, I had spent $58.10.
I told everyone I could that morning to hurry to get this diesel. I came by this station about 3:30PM the same day and the sign said $3.299.
The woman I paid said that they got a batch of diesel the day before and it was down that much. I felt like it was an error of some sort. I am just glad I got in on it.
My only regret is that I did not go back and fill every can I could get my hands on.
Anyone beat this price lately?

You know.... It's a shame when we say that even $2.11 is a great deal for fuel.

Yea, what the heck happened to the price of diesel? My local station lowered it's price of gas to $2.59 and upped the price of diesel from $3.09 to $3.15, it is now higher than it ever was a month after these so called shortages. If there is a diesel shortage, why isn't there a gas one too?
Sounds like you just hit the only honest station in North America. The rest of them have to hit a homerun on every tanker load.
Best we can do around here is a Mobile station who's prices stay the same for 7-10 days at a time, he's at $2.85 now.

Wondering why the gas prices are dropping to about 2.59 in Portland OR, but the diesel is up to 3.14 went up a few days ago. Only thing I can think of is they are making heating oil not fuel.

Well diesel here at where I usually fill up dropped from $3.399 to $3.299 "wow". Any way for the record a co-worker friend of mine has the best price for a fill up thus far, but it was unleaded gas. Last Thurdays at around 5 o'clock in the morning he stopped at the local Race Trac station and filled his tank on his truck, about half way thru the fill up he noticed the pump was not registering so he stopped to make sure fuel was coming out the knozzle, and it was so he continued. He went inside to pay and told the clerk the pump did not register any dollar amount or gallons. The clerk checked the set meter inside the store and found no gallons or price amount registered. He said (friend) well I owe you for gas, but how much, the clerk said since none registered on either pump it's "Free". My friend didn't argue with them about that.
