Would it really save you anything? After you pay for the equipment and all the items needed to make the fuel, I think it would take a vey long time to pay for itself. IMO

Before you buy one, i would make sure you have a steady source for oil. Heres a link to a webpage with a lot of good info and links on it. You can build a processer for a lot less then an fuelmeister costs. http://www.biodieselcommunity.org/appleseedprocessor/

You need methanol for the reaction. I researched getting a drum of it and discovered it was not easy. Pretty expensive. Of course, finding used oil is difficult -- everyone is seeking it and there is only so many places to get it.

Hopefully fuel prices will drop due to warm weather and no need for heating fuel.

I live in a relatively small town(pop. 35K) w/alot of mom & pop shops that I bet it would be real easy to get oil from.

well even if you spend 2k on the setup make the diesel for .70-1.00 per gal you would only have to drive 10k miles to pay it off at about 17mpg

If it goes that high, 7.00 a gallon were all screwed! Well if it don't work out maybe you can use it for making home brew!
