Fuel price

What computer program do you run to find the cheapest diesel fuel while on long trips. With my 100 gallon in bed tank it would be nice to know where the least expensive fuel is located.

Don't drive too far to save a couple bucks.

Just got burned by a poster on Gas Buddy who typed $2.599 gal and it was $2.959 a gal with no one purchasing fuel! If is sounds too good to be true...
If it is less than a mile out of your way go for the "cheaper" fuel otherwise try driving slower and use the cruise. I am going to park the truck this weekend to protest the ridiculus pricing. Next will be brewing my own fuel.

Thanks guys. I knew about gasbuddy and it worked for local diesel. I could not get it to work with long distance with out a zip code for diesel, it would work for gas. I was hoping to use one for interstate 10 through Mississippi and Louisana with out using a zip code.

Once you get to the MS state list you can get a price list for the towns you will go through and or even by county. Yes it is some what of a pain to do it that way but you can do it this way if you want a list of the price's bad enough.

Were taking a trip to go see my folks next week. I'm debating on taking the truck or the Saturn Vue. What do you guys think?

Anybody seen this much difference between Gasoline and Diesel Fuel?

Gas prices are displayed on a sign board at a gas station in west Los Angeles on Monday, April 9 2007.
The national average price for gasoline rose for the 10th straight week, according to a government report released Monday.

Not since I bought my truck.

I think they were spaced out about that much back then, which pushed me to get the Diesel.
I'm thinking at least .50 cents cheaper for Diesel.

Last 2 years it's been the opposite.

We ended up taking the truck. Couldn't help it. I love to drive it too much.
