diesel additives

since there seems to be alot of questions on additive and diesel lubrication, i came accross this article. thought i would post it and let you drcide.

Interesting Tips - People who really take care off their Diesel engines add a teaspoon of castor bean oil to every gallon of
Diesel fuel !!! Castor bean oil burns clean and is a SUPER LUBRICANT for Diesel engines.
The old timers (heavy equipment operators) say that by adding castor bean oil the life of a Diesel engine can easily be doubled!een oil blck oil Bio diesel filters Biodesel

yes me to. since it is an oil i don't see where it can harm anything and the cost has to be minimal.

For years, castor based oils were used in aircraft. Mostly in the radial engines, but I think Packard, Allison, and Rolls used it in their v-12's. I think the company Castrol started with castor oil based products.
How well it would work for lubricity AND combustion without leaving deposits, I don't know. It is a very good lubricant. Works extreamly well with M-60, M-240, and Ma Deuce's. BEWARE of the smoke. If you breathe it, it will make your poop a bit loose
