burn dielectric oil?

burn dielectric oil?

someone has offered up 100 gals of dielectric oil. think i can run it in a #2 diesel solution?

Dont do it. Dielectric is bad news. It could be a major carcinagin if it has PCBs in it. Also it is designed to not burn and is probably full of metal shavings from contact wear.

And even if there ain't PCBs in it you'll see the ash content being somewhat higher than usual, in some cases PCBs have been replaced by organic sulphur compounds that will destroy the TBL of your engine oil in a hurry even if you don't care that your exhaust has that distinguished Seveso smell to it.
Have a look whether there is some specialty company that will buy it- over here there's an industry recycling that stuff and they give you about 2 Euros per liter....

What about 150 oil? If I can blend it what ratio should I use. It is brand new oil in drums.
