Biofuel basics

Does anybody know about this company?
http://www.biofuelbasics.com

I stumbled upon it today and was wondering if it is any good and is it legit.

Sounds good but as I've heard before 'If it sounds too good to be true it probably isn't'.

I tried a search on 'biofuel basics' and nothing came up.

Thanks,
Alan

This looks like a SCAM. There is no information on how their process is different from the known process to make biodiesel. The current process for 55 gal drum (42.6 gal.approx) uses about 9.5 gal. methanol and 660 or more grams of lye. They claim to have a small 18oz bottle that can make 131 gal. I don't think so. I think that would be big news if this was true.
I don't know what they are making but I don't believe it's biodiesel. I believe they are selling Snake oil to mix with vegy oil which will burn in your diesel engine. You can find a blend a lot cheaper than that.
Just be aware that there are thing to watch out for if you go with straight vegy. Do a search it has been talked about here on this site. You can also visit this site http://biodiesel.infopop.cc/6/ubb.x?a=cfrm&s=447609751 .You can run your motor on straight filtered vegy oil. I've done it in a diesel Benz for about 3000 miles with no apparent ill effects. I've mixed about 10% in diesel in my truck and my wifes Jetta. I stopped because I heard of people having problems with coking if they did any extended idling.
You can get most of the parts in their kit from northern or Harbor Freight for less than half of what they are charging.

Here is a link where you can get some first hand knowledge of diesel secret and biofuel basics. A person going by the user name "Mississippi" tested it. His post is half way down the page. Email him for more info.

The biodiesel process removes the fats from the oil, this stuff just mixes some chemicals and calls it biodiesel. Where is their information on the chemical process. What happens to the fats in the oil?
The same site has a group that is doing blending and they don't charge anything for their information. http://biodiesel.infopop.cc/eve/foru...m/f/9751014871

Thinning veggie oil with solvents to make it injectable is bad news for your fuel injection system. That being said theres only two ways to use it.. In a converted vehicle or as a chemically reacted fuel.
You need to remove the water and filter it either way.
