Here's another interesting site.

I've heard of the KOH just didn't want it on my clothes or around or in my engine. I'd rather replace my SS than my motor or pants, now it maybe safe to use with proper percautions. Bakeing soda is cheep though.
As to the information on this thread there has been some great information shared. Thanks for everyones input.

Depends on what size of container you use and how much production of H/O you want. The more Baking Soda the more H/O. For what I use about a half gallon container of water normally just a tea/spoon.

Look in my picture gallery. About 40$ Look at some web sites, some give you ideas. You can set one up so many ways. Keep it simple for your first one and go from there.
Container W mart, Coper wire - and Stainless light switch covers + at Lowes, Bolts and nuts stainless Lowes, Plastic cupler at Ace hardwear, and hose there also. Get your electrical wire anywhere you want.

Exclamation SAVEFUEL.CA Rip off or Awesome Product?

Hello Everyone,

I have been searching to see if anyone else has actually had any luck with this.

A few weeks ago I purchased a Hydrogen generator from SAVE.FUEL.CA for $300. I had it installed in my 2003 Matrix. We mixed few concentrations of KOH, the 20am fuse blew twice. I then lowered the amount of KOH as to get a the right amperage reading as per the instructions.

I drove down to do a job in CT the trip was like 500 miles RT. I actually got
20% worse gas mileage than before the unit was installed. Checking around I see this is a possible scam. I contact ed the company as soon as I got the kit for technical help since there were no instructions included. I was directed to a web site with a pdf.

Typically I get 27 highway mpg, with Hydrogen Generator from SAVEFUEL.CA I get 23 highway mpg.

Also check out this link to the Better Business Bureau in Canada:

http://search.bbb.org/Results.aspx?n...add=&c=&st=&z=

Savefuel.ca has three addresses each one has complaints filed against them.
I do see that he has refunded customers before. But there are is also some negative feedabck there.

So this is really imortant...does anybody have one of these installed and working or perhaps I got a bad unit??

Wouldn't this be awesome if it worked.

My gut instinct is telling me it doesn't.

I am not the only one with issues here, check this out:

http://www.income-energy-time.com/blog/?p=6

If this guy is ripping people off then I am going to contact a lawyer in CA and take him to court. I would also like to find others that have been taken.

It's not so much the 300 dollars I am out purching the unit, the 300 dollars it cost me to have it installed and the 100 dollars I cost me to drive down and get in installed. It's all the time I wasted chasing my tail to get this to work.

So I will keep everyone posted.

I contacted the CEO John Bolle from SAVEFUEL.CA and he has not returned a single phone call, neither does technical support answer.

My advice to John Bolle of Savefuel.ca is that he should refund my money because I will find others and we will slap him with a class-action lawsuit.

I already have 3 people very upset and happy to hear from me and I just started looking about 24 hours ago.

I could literally have sold hundreds of these down here and I have an installer lined up..what a disappointment!

earlyer in this post it was talked about that if you flood the intake with to much H2 your fuel milage will acculy go down, its a touchy process, iv talked to a guy who makes these systems up in idaho he will only ship them to one of his installers and have them calibrate the system to work with your motor for that same reason. he has had very good luck with them and lots of good feedback but i think i can do the same thing alot cheaper myself if i put the time in to tweek it alittle.

im still in the research stage of building my kit but it sounds to me like those kits produce to much, best advice i could give you is to get your current down to there lower limit and see what it does for you if milage doesnt improve go lower, you have it might as well see what it takes to make it work right, it cant hurt anything to play with it a little

Hello,

John_from_NY. One guess and it ain't pretty. SCAM.

It's junk like this that gets people excited because they think they can beat the system. There never was any carb that could get 80 mpg. The conspiracy theory people will say anything. We all want to believe but then theirs that reality thing. The dozens of shops that build one off and custom carb's would of found the magic by now. Scam people play on feelings. It's our feelings that control our decision process the most.

Adding the right amount of a compatible combustion product is a fine concept. Just not going to happen with a bucket of water, some metal and a hose to the filter. Insufficient volume and improper delivery for these engines.

Of course this is all one persons opinion.

Well I'm glad someone else has seen the posibilities. Like you said tuneing is a problem for some motors. If I had a shop and a load dyno it would make it a lot easier. A timeing device to be able to adjust it on the go so you don't have to shut down and reset it.
Marco has been encouraged to make a mileage box. He's to busy building performance boxes though. Maybe if enough people showed interest he would do it.

Like Mopardamo said, SCAM. Ever notice how many of these fuel saving devices came out of the woodwork? I believe Mythbusters did a segment on some of them with no real improvements.

bullboy85,
I am in Idaho. If I'm close enough I could go over and check this thing out in person. I would be willing to try! If you find the info, let me know what it is and we'll see what happens.
