4.99 9/10 diesel fuel price, central california

man, this hurts.....5 bucks a gallon, and no end in sight, talked to a fuel tanker driver today, and he says that he wouldn't be supprised to see it hit 7 bucks a gallon by the end of summer.....this sux!

Welcome to my world. Up in Canada we are $5.1750/Gallon US$ today or $1.359/litre Cdn.

you gotta love that Cali. special blend and taxes...
I'm just dreading the inevitable match-up over here on the east coast. California seems to lead the way in high prices for the rest of the country, as far as fuel is concerned.

yeah, but don't much higher taxes make up a lot more of your price?

And this without any real oil/refined shortage or supply disruption. Most if not all of the current run up has been from investors trying to recoup losses from housing and financing segments. Pure speculation on what "might" happen. Just wait and see what happens if/when the 1st hurricane of the season hits the Gulf Coast and actually does disrupt supply and production.

Its the same price in New Hampshire, than it is here in Central CA.
