Central California Cummins repair shops ?

I live in Modesto,Ca. does anybody know a GOOD repair shop? that knows a 3rd gen dodge? besides the dealer! i have taken my truck to a shop in oakdale for a fuel leak. after about a $1000.00 5 trips in and out of the shop, both aftermarket BD fuel pumps, and a lot of wasted time and fuel! Im ****** and will not go back to that shop again. and have never trusted a dealership for repairs! as with everything else in modesto nobody knows anything or they profess to know it all and dont know Edit i would like to be able to take my truck to a shop and have it fixed right the 1st time, or am i asking to much ?

I use Geweke Dodge in Lodi. Okay so far, but I've only had routine maintenance done there. I've heard that Yosemite Dodge (@ hwy 99 and 120 in Manteca/Lathrop?) is good, but have never tried them myself.

Don't know how far you are willing to travel, but Brown's Diesel in Riverdale has a good reputation. I am in the same boat as you, nobody around Ventura. I am about to go to Brown's, I just can't find anybody here.

Ken Imler's # is (916)920-3775 http://www.imlerdiesel.com/ (not a good site as half of the tabs don't work). A smal place with very tight parking. He has a chassis dyno. He is a bussy man so schedule your work early.

I'd at least call Brown's Diesel & get his over-the-phone take. Last I heard, Goerends vouches for him in the tranny dept, & they don't really have many "referables" out west.

I live in Modesto too. I did a search before and I believe Country Ford is actually a Cummins shop.

Another vote right here for Brown's Diesel. Reb is an awesome guy who knows his stuff.
