De-badging???

I know some of you guys take all of the badges off the trucks. When I got mine it had the dealer logo on it and I want to remove it. I'm not into free advertising. I was wondering what you guys use to take off that stuff with out ruining the paint.
Thanks,
Manuel

I used fishing line to cut off the badges, then a 3m eraser wheel and goof off to remove the extra glue. No problems.

This works the best. Get the eraser wheel at a auto paint store. I saw a photo with a debadged truck on this forum and removed all my many stickers because it looked so good. My tailgate just has 'heavy duty' and the sides only have 'cummins' badge. Everything else off and its much better looking IMHO. Dodge puts too much crap on their trucks.

Duct tape works great for pulling off the adhesive residue. Use a 4" piece of tape and just tap at the residue, it will stick to the tape and come right off of your paint. Using fishing line and duct tape I was able to pull all the badging off my tailgate in 20 mins. No chemicals or tools required.

3m eraser wheel is the way to go, I've never tried the duct tape, it would def. be cheaper!

30 lb fishing line and eraser wheel. The eraser wheel is the bomb diggity and cuts the time in half.

I just did this after owning it for 13 months.(my lucky number). Only minor shadow on pass. side.
Definitely do it before your first payment.
I used a plastic spatula and finger tips along with Quick Detailer to allow for easy sliding without scratching. 3M adhesive remover on rag and then saturated remainder of badge adhesive until it came off then detailed the doors with elbow grease. A good buffer will get the shadow out.
