The saddle tank is the only tank I have.It is 33gal.This tank was made in Illinois I got mine from my buddy it was damaged in a wreck he had.The tank on yours will have to be really short because of it being a short bed

Are you drawing fuel from the top or bottom? I was already thinking about size. Hoping to use 20 - 30 gal. and be able to switch from tank to tank. My biggest challenge is finding a short flatbed. I found two companies that build a 7 foot bed which is what I want but their cost is up to $1800.00 I am making this truck a dually also. I could just hang aftermarket fenders but thought the flatbed would be a nice touch.

I draw off the bottom rear.7ft will be to much over hang for me for towing.

going to use a trailer tracking rod for my panhard rod so I can adjust it for side to side if I deside to raise up the air ride.The one I have on it now isn't adjustable.I.m off by 3/8 of a inch.nobody has said enything but I know it is off.

Did some tracing of wires to see if there was a problem the TPS wireing I just went and retighten every conection and going to start driving it and se if this makes a difference.My fingers and tows are crossed.
What is your opinion? I thinking about lowering my timing to 15 it is at 18 at the moment stock was 11 the motor has 17.5 comp,ratio.

Small update.Trany is shifting great getting smoother everyday yesterday I started to drive it like I stolen it so it can learn some more bad habits haha.the down shifts are realy have gotten smooth I'm talking about the down shifting like when you gomming to a stop light.Down shift going up a hill is doing well also.I have to get going on the inner fenders before the snow starts to fly so the motor don't get all nasty and have to finnish the hood stops.
I took the wife to the park so she could walk around the lake the other evening while I was waiting I couldn't reseist had to take a picture not the best.

Update had to have the pump and injectors checked out the gov,was messed up.makeing the rack to jump vilently back and forth.the reason I had them check is The motor develuped a uper end knock would come and go.just got it running last sunday havent driven her yet but the motor sure does idle alot smoother.Thanks to Kevin at northeast deisel for doing a great job and a fast repair.
Had to make a new bracket for my gov,for the air compressor the motor shoock badly at idle for about 80.000 miles I just thought it was the motor.Now it feels like a new truck again hoping the knock is gone pulling it out of the garge in the morning.some pic of the new bracket made it out of a peice of scrap aluminum angle.

You can use the switching valves from an early 90s Ford dual-tank truck. I've also seen selector valves in old gas grain trucks, you turn the lever to switch tanks. I would guess one could pull off up to 4 tanks as the lever spun clear the way around, with a 90 degree throw between the two tanks.

Got her running alot easier than the last time she actully started on 2 cyl.when I got 5&6 bled I had to husle to get the rest of the lines tighten.i had my remote starter button let it idle for a min,then I took the rpms up just a little the hell broke loose oil shot all the way up my garage door to the cealing a he-- of a mess blew the rubber O-ring on the remote oilfilter.by the time I got her shut off there was about 2 gallons of oil all over.
Put a new filter on and put some more oil in started it up while I was in the cab took the rpms up to 200rpms off idle oil pressure went to over 100 psi almost to 0 have to pull the pan and look at the oil releif valve.

Oh Man.....I love those early and mid 70's Ford trucks........We had one on the farm, a 1974 Ford Explorer....Darn that was a nice truck...To bad I don't have that truck now..

I got the truck out to take her for a test drive 8:30 friday morning made a trip across town then took her out on the Hwy I think she new she wasn't going back in the garage when we were going to get back home We got 3miles out of town and I pulled over to check things over under the hood for leaks didn't find nothing chut the hood and took of agoing and got about 200 yards and no throtlle pulled into the airport road raised clip and the cotter pin cam out of the throtle linkage I din't put all my juck back into the bed box I finally found a paper clip in the mean time it started to sleet and snow like I haven't ever seen come down that fast.Got home parked her on the street so I could get a 08 Ford in the shop to put exhaust and a H&S programer in.I don't like to leave the truck set on the street to many idiots don't know how to drive in the snow.I looked outside about a hour later there was 4" on the ground already.Truck ran good and has a differant tone out of the stacks.Sound deaper.

Little update on tuning the Allison with EFI is getting better
are I should say I'm getting more used to tuning.I really like the Allison 6sp.I have only one problem that giving me alot of trouble it's 4 to 3 closed throttle downshift it bangs very hard.the rest are great.Any help would be appreciated.
