it was easy to get the starter in and out with the front clip off.
Some shoots of the AC compressor and brackets that are universel.
working on the plate for the motor to weld the brackets to.

Going to take her for a test drive this weekend if we don't have enymore storms.Don't realy want to drive it with out some inner fender wells.I just picked some up for 73 chevy yesterday I have to do some trimming and make some brackets to hold them on the frame.going to make them removable. The won't be mounted to the front clip.Got them for 20.00 apeice.
I decided to make new hood rest out of aluminum. And you know I have to polish them.
I used a extra Snow water injection bottle for my window washer res, used a peice of stainless steal for the mounting bracked.
I have the Snow kits that was on the Gambler,I'm going to use one on the old girl and see how it works I have to get a controller for the street.
what do you guy's think about putting it on the truck.Good or bad alway trying to get better mpg.

All the wireing is correct and we can manually lock the convertor with EFI.Have made alot of phone calls and all have said that it is in the software frome the ecm to the TCM.We worked on the EFI for 2 hr.yesterday driveing around. We have all the shift points working good for me to be able to drive it around can't realy find out how good the truck will run with out the trany locking up.Tap shift works good and can't tell you much about the T/H.I know we will have to reprogram the TCM again when we find out what is happening to lockup.Even though I 'm having this lockup problem I'm still happy with the swap.
WARNING DON'T LOCK THE TC WHILE YOU ARE DRIVING TRANNY DON'T LIKE IT AT ALL GIVES A HARD SHUTTER THE GOES INTO NUTRAL AND YOU HAVE TO REFLASH IT.

I'm getting a TCM from BTDeiselworks for a 8.1 gasser to replace the duramax one.the 8.1 has a different language then the deasel. So hopfully I will have lockup when I change them out. This should fix the problem.
I haven't done enything else to the truck at all.going to work on her this week.like getting the aluminum supports finished and polished for the front clip.and start on the inner fenders. And change the return lines some on the powerstearing and hydroboost.tomuch restiction.Pump grawls to much when the RPM go up.that is what I was told to do.

got bored the other day and took the battery boxes out fron under the rear of the bed and took out 2 of the 4 batteries.I weighed everything that I took of including the longercables. The truck lost 210lbs I still have to go weigh the truck to see what it lost by taking out the 10 sp.and clutch assy.the front end set up higher than it did.
I then put the batteries in my side box not that I got the storage box in the bed.the box in the bed is lighter than one of the battery boxes.and it looks alot better.
I used some allthread to go from the bottom to the top of the side box to help support the extra weight I have a extra plate inder the bottom of the box so the rod don't pull though.and put some air line over the threaded rod inside just so no one will get cut by the threads on the rods.
here is a couple of better pictures of the mounting of the shifter on the ford columb.I know it isn't the cleanest way to do it but it was the simplest.and easy.

Dumb question but are you drawing fuel from the saddle tank? I have an 85 short bed Dodge crew cab and I want to put a flat bed on it with duel 30 gal. fuel tanks and have them functional. Along with stock tank it will give me 90 gal fuel capacity. Also where did you find the tank and what is it's fuel capacity?
