The top bar was mounted strait in line with the spring arm.I don't have the upper link on the truck any more did't need it with the lower traction barthe ride is smoother with out it

I have a trackbar from the rearend to the frame too keep it alined side to side
I don't have a sway bar don't need one with a leaveling valve on each side.

its all becoming clear . you do have a trac bar to keep the rear end from moving side to side and you got rid of the one inch upper link bar that ran parrellel to the spring. thanks

Thumbs up

To me it appears that all the weight of the truck is in place by the axle U bolts. If so it that really safe? Or am I missing something in the pics? Just starting to do the same on a '90 Dodge 1 ton.Had thoughts of installing the bags centered over the axle.Trying to found out the specs. of using an monoleaf to keep the axle warp under control. Also not sure about shocks and how to mount them.
Really cool looking mini rig.Nice lifting hood.

Yes the weight is relieghing on the Ubolt the manufacture said they would handle what ever the truck could I have grossed out at 26.000 is the heaviest I ever weighed.I have never had them come loose.I check them most of the time when I service the truck. The spring I had mad were heavier than the one on a front Superduty I still had to put the bar under the spring to control the spring rap was bad empty loaded was very bad.The air bags only has 12lb in them empty the most air ever in them was 23lb they are off a KW 8 bag set up ride is good.Self leveling valve's.

perkins you said you need more overdrive. I don't know much about the RTO 6610 10sp. You might ask a big truck transmission shop if 9th and 10th can be turned around to give you a double overdrive. We used to do this on 9sp and 10sp in big trucks to get more speed out of them. I just turned around a 13sp which is a 9sp with a od box on back and put it back to single od. If your gears can be turned around it will give you alot of od, you would probably run in 9th most of the time until your ready to roll on down the interstate. Good luck and you have a cool looking ride there.
ps.--What did the perkins come out of?
