Getting springs right after conversion

As stated in a previous thread, I recently got my truck back from AutoWorld in Montana where they installed a 2005 HPCR Cummins and 48RE into my 1968 F250 Highboy - but they did nothing with the front springs.

So I just got the front of my truck weighed. Driver's side 1,500 lbs, passenger side 1,300 lbs. I figure the Cummins has compressed the existing springs at least 1" lower than the gasser that was in it and the extra weight on the driver's side has compressed just that side an additonal 1/2.

I'm looking to replace the springs with one that will bring the truck back to proper ride height and level it out. Any input would be appreciated.

If you are that worried about an 1" difference you can just put the necessary blocks in to raise it back up

Blocks are not going to help weak/underated springs. Don't know what came on the Ford, but a decent off road shop, or a suspension shop should be able to get you better springs, or at least point you in the right direction.

No blocks in fron, bad idea. Might want to get a hold of a custom spring shop
http://www.deaverspring.com/
http://www.alcanspring.com/
http://www.eatonsprings.com/

I havent used any those companies but I have heard good things about all of them.

Thanks,

I called Alcan and they can build me springs at a pretty reasonable price.
