Here is another little project I got done today. Removed the gas fuel pump, drilled out the feed line to fit a #8 bulkhead fitting and ran a 1/2" aluminum line down into the fuel tank. Also extended the return line.

Will have some more pictures soon. I have been cleaning and painting the underside of the Excursion. Got new tires and coated the used M/T wheels.
Put the head back on the 5.9, need to reseal the vacuum pump. My adaptor from Destroked came in today. Still have to build the trans and get a converter. Will use Suncoast since I am a dealer. I have been very busy with work and not had much free time.

Here are some more pictures, got the engine in, had to move the trans back about 3 inces from stock location. For mounts I had to use 2 right side stock dodge mounts, and made frame brackets. Need to finish welding and renforcing the mounts. The turbos are going to be alot more work to get in there than what I thought they would. When there is no engine in there it looks like there is a kinds of room. The AC box is really in the way. But I will work around it. I have the turbos sitting in there close to where I think they will work.

It RUNS!!! Fired it up for the first time today. Everything looks good. Need to finish putting the front end back together so I can take it out for a drive. Will post some pictures when I get time.

Nice. Have you done anything with the front leafs to support the extra weight?

I installed a Superlift 3" lift. It had a 6" lift on it when I got it, but that's too much for towing. 305/75-16 Firestone Destination A/T tires.

Here is a couple pictures.
I like these tires. I have sold this model of tire to some of my customers and they really like them. Wear good and excellent wet and snow traction.
This is the parts that were replaced when rebuilding the trans.

Well I have put over 250 miles on it now, about 80 miles pulling a 20ft box trailer. This thing rides and drives way better than I expected. It is quiet inside except for the normal diesel noise, but not bad. The 3" superlift springs have a great ride. The transmission works very well. The PCS trans computer is fully adjustable with a lap top. I really really like it. Much nicer than the 89 Suburban that I had this engine in.
