Looking at buying this from a buddy of mine he did the conversion I helped on some of it. Just trying to find out what a fair price would be for it.

Whatever the Ford books for with a diesel plus a little bit if you really like it. Conversions are hard to sell because most people don't want a truck that's had a different engine shoehorned in. There are exceptions if you can find the right buyer, but generally they are worth what the original truck is or even a little less.

I would have to disagree. If the install was done right and looks like it came from the factory it has made the truck worth a lot more. That truck is way better than with the 7.3 in it IMHO any way. My conversion was done so that all the parts are the 97 dodge or the stock ford.If the body and interior are in good shape I would think it should be worth what ever the same year Dodge truck that the motor is would be worth.Especially if it is a 1 ton crew cab like mine then even a little more because they never made CC Dodges.

I need pictures to "examine" and come up with a price...

I'd see what other trucks of the same year, and in the same condition are going for, and if the conversion was done correctly, or up to your standards, pay a little more on top of that for the Cummins.

I would really like to see pictures of the rig though.

I'd happily sell mine for what an 03 Dodge goes for, ain't gonna happen though. Most people don't see the point of doing this conversion and would see it as a drop in value. Obviously some of us love them, otherwise we wouldn't have killed ourselves doing them, but I know I wouldn't buy one especially not for anymore money than what the truck was worth originally.
