4bt / 4l80 into a 2003 conversion van?

Anyone have any imput on it? I have a 2003 AWD conversion van with the 5.3 and 4l60e. Its great and yea I could go bigger but it would be nice to be able to run bio...and get better mileage and be able to tow better. Our little toy box weight about 6500 lbs empty and it tows it....but not well.

So my answer (and possibly have found one) is the 4bt. I d mod it....but most other boards say dont go over 175 hp? Seems like if I make over 600 pretty easy with my 6bt....then wouldnt a 4 bt be capable of 300-400 pretty easy?

Yes you can fairly easily, but like a 600 Hp 12 valve, reliability will be a hit or miss thing, unlike say a 300 Hp tune on a relatively stock 6BT.

The Marine 4BTs were 250 HP if I remember right, they run at full throttle all the time.
