Why run 2wd on slicks? Why not do a 4wd launch on your 35's? Just curious. I'm thinking you should be knocking on something in the 14's if you launch it good.

curts99:

I would say you should be in the mid to high 14's. Be careful you don't get to high with the boost at the staging lanes!! FWIW, I would not go over 10lbs.!
Why? Because I broke three (3) output shafts on my 2002 doing that!

Good luck!

2wheel drive will leave much slower than 4x4. It would, however, no doubt, be less strain on the transmission output shaft.

4x4 launch will definetly give you the best track time.

I'd say 15.5 for your first pass and improve on that.

I want slicks for my kids truck.............

You'd be running out of RPM's in the top end with a 27" slick, methinks. Your truck starts defueling at 2700 rpm (unless you have something else thats not in your sig), which would be around 89 mph.

I run a 15.12@85 on stock shafts with stock injectors and delivery valves in my 12 valve. You should surely be in the 14's. I leave with 8-10psi and run in 4wd. Actually I think I could run a high 14 now.

curts99,

We can fix the 2700 governor springs with a 3200 spring kit in my garage You will have to buy the kit. I can also give you a custom ground fuel plate that will work!

I want those slicks!!
