Only saw one first gen running the quarter. W250, CC, clean and all stock looking and had an Auto. 19.90's, thought i would see more. Annoucer was definitely a cummins man :-) .

Duramax's ruled the quarter mile though.
I could hear those allisons slipping from the grandstands though.
Many Fords doing the turbo cough too.

Since I've always been a 73-87 Chevy fan(not the diesels though) SO I had to root for the 84 Chevy SWB truck that had a cummins 4BT in it. very nicely done and ran low 15's. made it to the semi-s so i'm sure he went home with some cash.

I was impressed with how many stick shift Dodges I saw trying to row their way down the quarter mile. MAYBE my 91 next year.

I didn't make it down, I had to work on my 24 valve(had a slight miss, hope I got it), then I wound up helping a friend split a 1066 IH tractor.

You know what impressed me?? Those tri axel dump trucks running under 20 seconds. I thought they were pretty fast.
I got to run my truck, 14.7 was the best.

I've ALWAYS said those dump trucks were the most overpowered and sometimes Dangerous trucks on the road. I HATE even being near one on the road.
