TEXAS sled pulls
you mean ol green 01 24v hotrodvp,htt62,jammer 5 nozzles, drag comp, o-ringed head and that's it nothing special. my 98 has the motor that Zach had in his truck last year at DeLeon...nothing but p-pumped 24valve, Zach tells me I got the two hotest motor to come out of the shop, with juice it should 1000hp no problem. we'll see!!!
If its the truck that was painted like a TX flag... the engine was parted out.. to fund some of his other projects... He used to have a video clip of it pulling on his web site.. but I haven't looked in a while...
The duramax (IFS) problem is easy to fix.. You just need to tie the front down.. it it will pull... lifted trucks are worse... Drop the T-bars down, will help...

there should be lolts of time for more than one class if only 2-3 truck can make the class. I shouldn't gripe becose I wanted some set rules with out exceptions all the time but this is a little much. There were over 57 trucks at Deleon last year and I bet not one could make this class. Maby in a few years there can be a few more classes and or rule changes to let a few more trucks pull in a work stock class. I knew that the allison would some day make it were I could not pull and thats fine I understand that but this went from guys being able to set some good basic rules and have a good time to almost pro pulls all at one time. Glad to see this growing and hope it keeps on getting bigger every year, this is realy the second era of the muscle car (truck).
"Transmission, Automatic:
Non-OEM transmissions are prohibited. Aftermarket torque converters, valve bodies and internal
components are permitted. Transmission brakes are prohibited."
From the DHRA Street Diesel rules... I guess you could say its an Allison 1000???
Its really not going to take much for most of the truck to make the Street Diesel rules.. Most just need U-Joint sheilds... And the exhaust could be an issue... other than that.. I really don't see much in the rules that will know most street trucks out of the class... There are a few other TTTPA rules that will have to be followed... Helmet, and fire extigure.. I"m guessing these will need to be followed for the 08 season...
No.. idea what we are going to do... but I don't think the twins are coming off...

If a class 8 truck show's up, pay's the entrance fee's and want to pull for fun will they let me?
I've been working on this truck off and on for a while and it's fixing to have a piece of equipment bolted to it for the rest of it's life. The paint is still wet this evening and I'ed like to pull it of fun before putting it to work.
Are the pulls going to be across the road at the new place, 350" wheel base might be hard to get around in the old place.

I wanted to take it to Boyd last week but it was not ready. Does it take another truck that size to register in the pull before they'll let me pull (so I'll have sumtin to pull against)?
Not sure what gear to use,....It has diff locks in both axles so all 4 duels have to spin before it stops. (if the motor has enuff power)
Just really messin' around with it,..hope I don't break nutin'
