Stupid and Strange Pulling rules:
down here in my neck of the woods we didn't care. 26" hitch height an 8000lb was our only rules. if you wanted twins, NOS, water/meth, propane, solid suspension, hanging weights, or a sweet combo of all of the above. well there was a couple more like tagged street truck, insurance, oem motor, stuff like that. which translates into alot of fun.

Here, there must not be a smoke rule. A 05 dodge last year BLANKETED the stands with his rig! I couldn't even see the lights on the opposite side of the track!
Oh he had a 5 in exhaust too, no stacks. The Ford that won had hardly any, but he also won by a few feet.

at the local fair in my town... Fryeburg Fair its the largest fair in the state but they have very strict rules
also this year 2007 will be the first year for a diesel class.... amazing they just figured out diesels make good pulling trucks.
but for a smaller fair..... driveline loops, tranny blankets, helmets, approved flywheel/ flex plate and many more.... rediculous in my opinion.

At Benton County near my neck of the woods, the rules for the diesel class say "same as gas classes except 8,000 limit and no hanging weights" What is real funny is that in the gasser classes they state "Naturally aspirated engines ONLY". Andy Thomas had a funny comment about that one for the tech inspectors when they were giving people grief for water injection
