Sbc Triple Disc Clutch Picture

Thats right!

Our new triple disc!!

The first one will be going to BigBadDodge.

13", 4200 lb. plate load, 3 clutch discs with 12 ceramic buttons or 12 feramic buttons per disc side totalling 72 buttons, 2 center plates at .400 thick, Billet steel flywheel with bronze inlay, all cryogenicly treated, completely SFI approved.

I think we're going to name the clutch "The Beast"

Actually, no he won't need a different bellhousing. What he is doing is getting a 3/4" bellhousing spacer and longer input shaft from Haisley Machine. That is what I needed to fit the extra disc and center plate and make the flywheel 3/4" taller.

Wow, that's a BIG mo fo!

What benefits have you seen from cryo'ing the flywheel and clutch? Longer life, better hold?

A lot of stuff on my crawler has been cryo'd (r&p's output shafts etc...) but I didn't think about treating the flywheel and clutch?
