Sacramento Raceway Truck Drags
Saturday, July 22nd, is the first annual truck drags at Sacramento Raceway. There are 4 truck classes and one of them is an all diesel class. Trophies and cash payouts to the winners.(cash payouts have not yet been determined, but I'll let you know when they are) Gates open 8am, time trials 9:30am, eliminations start 12noon. Spectators $10, Racers $40. We're hoping for a big turnout so the event will be held again next year.

Good luck bro, wish I still had my old truck. I would get so jeloues watch everyone run 13's when my old 99 would be running high 11 to low 12's. I fimally sold my twins.
I miss it more every day. You would think id be happy with a cherry 03 6 speed but im not. Its too pretty and girly...chick magnet. Nothing like the Brute Power look of my old rig blowing clouds of black smoke and being untouchable in the sac area.
Good luck, I hope you bring home a win for a CTD. Watch out the the drug using d-maxs.

I raced in the event today. The turnout was unfortunately poor. There were just a few gas trucks and a handfull of us diesel trucks. We were all pretty bumbed.... I figured the place would be crawling with a bunch of Hemi half tons, 5.3L chevies, and a bunch of modded pre- smog race trucks. No such luck....I'm sure hotter than normal heat wave played a part in it.
I ran a 15.8@84mph. It was hot hot hot outside though.

RJF, thanks for coming out and supporting the diesels. Next time it will probably be in the fall, I think heat was the main reason it was a small turnout. It was fun though.

By noon
Every single participant was ready to pass out.
By 1:30 everyone had adjourned to my place for some a/c
Congratulations to Cole Dow for coming home with the WINNERS Trophy! Cole really showed them how to bracket race as he was running 16.6 quarter miles consistently all day in his 1st gen 4x4.
Fjbiker, Nice 06! Welcome to the world of diesels!
