nice times! what gread did ya launch in? and was it it 4x4 high or just two wheel? i got a 5spd and a two disk clutch so i was thinking trying 3rd gear launch. if i can control the tires it will be good. if not it may have to be in 4x4 and would 4x4 wound out tight at the top end kill the transfer case? i am a sled puller and never done the drags with a truck. so any help would be good! and keep us up on your times when you get the injectors in and everything. id say it will be right impressive!!!

ive got a buddy with a 24v and he runs the 1/4 in 4x4. running about 100 mph or so, i would have thought it would have been hard on it. and it probaly is, but his still drives. Oh, wait, its in the shop putting a new 6 speed tranny and a new clutch in it because he blew up his other 6 sp.

I wouldn't think that it would be much harder on the t-case then pulling in 4-high. You really don't think about it but your tires are spinning at a high rate of speed when pulling. The only thing is that while pulling you are putting a lot more stress on drive train rather then just launching and opening here up. A least this is what I think, not sure but it sounds good.

ya that makes some sence about the 4x4 high thing but on the track it is about 100mph and on the sled unless its an all out truck like schied with 60-80+wheel speed trucks like mine are only seeing about 35 mph tops. i have a gear chart that has it all figured out. but ya i would say you make sence it wouldnt be much harder than pulling it. thanks guys

Speed should not affect your tcase negatively. think about cars/suvs that are all wheel drive, they/some can do 100+and doesnt hurt anything. I have never done 100 in the mud before but have hit 55-60 and aint hurt nothin yet, its 4x4 thats what its for. the only thing that could/might hurt it would be the launch but still doubt it, pulling is much more stressfull than racing so if you want to race in 4x4 I wouldnt worry about. Just my thoughts on the situation, no scientific evidance here
