I went to watch three years ago as it's only a couple hour drive. I thought the competition was very fair with no real variables. Pretty sure a Duramax has won every year since the race begun.

Yeah that's what they claim..pretty interesting..because 10k lbs. isn't THAT insane of a load, the guy driving the Cummins must have been watching the scenery instead of driving!

Their has never been a 6 speed cummins to enter (that I know of)The 96 cummins that did enter was only putting 280 to the rear wheels.
I think the only thing that will beat the duramax is a six speed cummins. The Dodge auto just doesn't have enough gears compared to the allison.

The Allison is the only ticket. No expertise required, stomp the go pedal hold it to 3100 RPM and wait for the allison to click through the 5 speeds plus lockup so like 8 speeds. Nice to hold the engine in its peak.

Try that with a ZF6 and the 6.6 and lets see what happens..

I don't have enough turbo for that pull. A serious Dodge should be able to hold its own there I would think..

Maybe once the Aisin becomes spread a little more we'll see one appear and STOMP that Allison. Put the Dmaxes to shame.

Tranny broke

thats waht killed the dodge, IMHO, no doggin the Dmax, that transmission is wicked, and that 700 horse monster with nitrous had some wicked times.. I think it was pretty fair, the better built truck won...

I will say this tho, that 12Valve, has MUCH MUCH more potential to get closer to the Dmax, i was rather dissapointed with its results...
